We need to do business differently. We need to imagine new futures.

That’s where YOU come in. You know in your heart that an equitable world means abolition, reparations for Black people, and the land returned to the original stewards.

I don’t have to explain to you how important it is that we need to challenge and dismantle oppressive systems that create, maintain, and protect billionaires. You already know that we don’t need anymore Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Warren Kanders, Richard Branson, or Mark Zuckerberg types. (We need them beheaded).

We’re on the same page about the fact that it’s long overdue for all women and femmes to step into their truth and power.

It’s true that systemic and social oppressive barriers exist and they are REAL. it’s also true that if you don’t give yourself permission, take a risk, and believe in your purpose, you will always and forever be stuck in a place you are not meant to be.

There are some industry leaders out there who harp on “abundance” and “manifesting” without any regard for social and racial justice. Or they dribble on about how that you can make millions overnight without any analysis of their position and identities in a white supremacist, patriarchal, capitalist society.

Even more, especially for women and femmes, the world has conditioned us to pander to everyone else’s comfort, to make ourselves small, and to not feel ownership and agency over our own dreams and goals. We have been gaslit our whole lives, and when it comes to that burning desire of purpose inside us we temper it with excuses like: “No, not me.” “I’m not the one.” “I can’t bring that to life.” Or there’s a small, insidious voice inside that whispers, “That’s too fantastic and unrealistic. You could never do that because x, y, z.”

Well, we’re interrupting that voice. This plague of self-doubt, uncertainty, and insecurity stops today. Right now.

You don’t have to stress about whether or not you’re the right person anymore because YOU ARE. Here’s the sign you’ve been needing to finally give yourself permission to shift into your truth and power, and own the vision you have for your life.

I got so much out of the 1:1 sessions in the Feminist Killjoy Business School program. For me, I just really like to talk things out, so being able to do that with someone else is really helpful, particularly because I don’t have anyone else to talk to about it, really.

I also really liked the group sessions to hear how other people are going through similar things, and having that sense of connection. Erin would send me relevant Instagram posts throughout the week, and knowing that she thought of me was really nice, and it was like a boost of confidence and support. There’s something really intimate about that, which I really like.

It seemed like the 3 months went by so fast, and I appreciated the small, intimate group. I felt cared about. I was able to share what was going on with me openly because we were in a small group. You know, you want to be able to feel okay about crying, or sharing stuff that you know you need to talk about, but if you’re in a big group of people you might not feel comfortable. So, Erin created a really intimate and safe space for me to be able to open up.

I’ve realized my challenges have so much to do with my own healing, my own shit basically, and there are things that Erin has been able to do that has helped clear it away, but ultimately these challenges will always be there. The biggest concern I had prior to entering the program was putting pressure on myself to have accomplished something by the end, or to have produced something more.
